This device is high capacity and well designed. I believe the portions to be a bit larger than a quarter cup. I was disappointed that it did not have an ac adapter despite the description. However, this leaves less for the kitties to chew on and the batteries are supposed to last a year. The timer is well designed. The machine can tell if the food tray is full and will stop dispensing until the level gets low enough again. I am feeding two cats but the tray is large enough to feed a dog. The device vibrates to make sure that the food gets into the rolling cup properly. As of yet, it has not jammed. I feel comfortable trusting this unit to feed my cats.

Worked great for the first 10 months, but now I am getting error in both the units I purchased. Sucks because my dogs rely in this feeder to eat and the jamming makes a hell of a lot of noise. If you are using this to feed when you are not around for a day or two, be warned it might leave your animals hungry!

In concept its good. The instructions suck and I was never able to program it properly. I ended up just using it as a reminder to feed the dog since I had to add more because I couldn't adjust the volume per feeding. Now it's just an expensive food dish.

I use this feeder to feed 2 small dogs. The clock seems to keep time well, and I like that it vibrates to make sure that it fills with food. Don't like that I have lost the instructions, and can't find them anywhere online. And this unit is not as user friendly as my other brand auto feeder. Also if you are not careful on how you pick up the unit, you will pop the hopper off and spill food everywhere. But otherwise, the price is nice, and it has been dependable.
